Instructions: Enter a nucleic acid sequence (see example below). When done, click on the SUBMIT button. The script will attempt to find the shortest candidate genes based on the START and STOP codon patterns, etc. This uses the revised translate() method of GenePHP 1.1, which allows the user to specify whether to stop translating when one encounters a STOP codon, to continue translating and return a string with the '*' or 'STP' symbol, or without these symbols, etc.
