Six-frame Translation Version 2 - Parameter Page

Instructions: Type in a nucleic acid sequence or copy-and-paste one from a GenBank textfile. Anything other than A, T, G, C, U, and X will be ignored. See example below (you can also copy-and-paste that too). You can also set translation options (input molecule type and output format). When done, click on the SUBMIT button.

The script will first check if your sequence contains only valid symbols (if DNA, only A, T, G, C, and X are valid; if RNA only A, U, G, C, and X are valid). Then it will output all six possible translations of your input sequence. For help on this topic, see translate() and complement() method of the Seq class.
